a lot has happened…
January 26th, 2010 by Kathy

Ok…alot has happened:

The group has been feeding over 1000 people every day from their compound in addition to having class for the kids, working with medical clinics in the area, and walking the ravine to care for needs there as well.  They are also able to distribute food to families in the area with the help of the teachers from Sherrie’s school.

Their system has been so successful and Kathy said she has been overwhelmed with how well the Bride, the body of believers, has been working together and how smooth things have been going…she said the Bride definitely has her boots on!!  The combination between people working there and here according to the Kingdom mentality is why we have been able to see so much accomplished.

We have been blessed with the donations of large amounts of Kids Against Hunger rice, a nutritionally complete meal that can be prepared almost anywhere thanks to the hard work of Chad and Christy Robbins.  Thanks to your generous donations we have been able to transport that rice, many needed medical supplies, and several teams of useful personnel to Haiti in the day since the earthquake.  More is needed, more is being provided, and more will continue to go which is why your continued support is both greatly needed and appreciated.

The work of our teams has been so effective that it drew the attention of other groups and the U.N. itself.  Everyone wants to know how we have been able to get so much done…they don’t understand the power of operating in FAITH and in the SPIRIT!!  Kathy and some of the team had the opportunity to share thoughts with some of those in powerful positions and we ask you to pray for continued enlightenment for those working with so many resources at their disposal that God will reveal to them ways to help that include and empower the Haitian people.

Taylor, Adam, JT, and Kelly have returned and Kathy and Martha remained in Haiti.  Emory, Mike, Ronnie, and Ken have been down a couple of days.

Natasha Taylor is also back in the states after helping to escort many Haitian orphans to Orlando and then Miami to be united with their adopted families in the states under humanitarian parole.  Please keep her in your prayers as she rests and looks ahead to what God would like her to do next to help and support in this crucial time.  Also, keep the children and their families in your prayers.  Included in the group were Isna from Faith Hope Love Infant Rescue (Dorothy’s) and Issac who is Natasha’s nephew.

We were able to connect a team of two ER nurses and a CNA/lab tech (who happens to be Haitian and can translate) with great needs in Haiti outside our immediate compound and have several other teams who are making preparations to go in the coming weeks.

Thank you again for all your love, prayers and support…please continue all three as we have only just begun to address the needs our Haitian brothers and sisters will have in the times ahead.
