February 10th, 2010 by Kathy

Beaver returns home from Haiti this Friday for a week and then he and Kathy return to Haiti Feb 19th with a strong team of medical and resource people.

Please remember to pray for Laura Lynn Nichols who is with Much Ministries on the ground in Gonaives , Haiti working as a teacher and a nurse in  the Jubilee Blanc area with Emory and Mary Wilson.  She has moved to Haiti to live there full time , arriving just in time to care for the wounds of the earthquake victims and help out in Port au Prince. She has now moved up to Gonaives.   Laura Lynn is one amazing young lady…full of zeal and wisdom..please check out her blog to read  her latest !

NEEDED:

Local folks that can help SATURDAY   FEB 13  at the MAP International building. .. Packaging the nutrious Rice mixture for shipment to Haiti.  The idea is to have 4 assembly lines with volunteers signing up for 2 hour slots if possible.  All volunteers are welcome, even those who can’t stay for two whole hours.  Time slots are:   9-11,    11-1,   1-3,   3-5   contact    Christie@mtn2sea.com

We continue to work toward getting immediate relief supplies into Haiti for quick distribution through the many strong alliances on the ground there.

It looks like  we have found warehouse space (sharing space) in PAP near the airport.  This will help  as we get large amounts of donated goods into the country and want to create easily accessible space for distribution to the many small NGOs, Missions and Churches we are working with.  This seems to be a key in the process. working with so many

Also we are working to get access to large cargo space on a plane in the next week to ship the much needed tents, food, medical supplies, shoes, clothes, diapers, baby formula that our community of friends here in GA and the South have been collecting.

Thank you !

These items can sometimes literally make the difference between life and death…and certainly always between despair and hope.

Somethings are so simple about how life works. When you have baby formula, your developing infant has a chance to develop all the important functions of the brain that happen during the early months of life.  We can make that simple difference!

When you introduce medical supplies and skilled people that clean and bandage wounds well, infections heal and limbs and lives are spared. We can make that simple difference!

So much of life is in doing the small things right. As Mother Thersa said, and i am believing it more and more every day. ..There are no great things, only small things done with great love!

Please understand that each of your donations make a difference!   It is that simple.

We are working to get this shipment lined up and we’ll give details about where to bring the items for donation very soon.

Thank you for the financial suppport that makes all these details possible!
