On March 12th it will be two months since the devastating earthquake took place in Haiti.

• We see strong tents arriving and being erected.
• Food unloaded from trucks, Drinking water,  blankets, medical supplies… Countries like Italy and Canada , Argentina, Peru, South Korea, Mexico, Paraguay  to name a few, joining the US in the fight against time and disease for the people of Haiti displaced by the shaking that continues still.
• The suffering father who lost his oldest son in the complete collapse of the University building is comforted by Emory, the missionary who holds him as he weeps.
• The mother, now without a husband to provide for her and her small children,  receives ample rice and beans from the young man who just couldn’t stay home and watch it on the news.
• The kids now orphaned and shaken finding a new home with the missionary lady who left everything behind years ago for the opportunity to live and love beautiful Haiti….

God is meeting each one through  the hands and faces and resources sent by others.

It is His way.

“defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy; deliver them…”

this Exhortation from the Psalms seems to be universally understood throughout mankind….because they have come and they are coming still.

It is a beautiful thing… this overcoming of suffering.

Much Ministries is now working to establish a year round base in Port Au Prince, Haiti in order to move into the next stage of TRANSFORMATION.

First comes Relief: the urgent and temporary provision of emergency aid to reduce suffering

Next comes helping the victims Recover..find and rebuild shelter, relocate, resume a life as normal as possible.

The next is Development..the process of ongoing change that brings in true transformation for an individual, a neighborhood or a nation.

While we are today participating in the relief,  JT is on the ground even now with the charge of distributing four 40 ft. containers of food…..we are also exploring new housing possibilities for the displaced,

we are committed to being part of the

Development process in Haiti.

WHAT : Our mandate is to train a generation of leaders in Haiti that have developed both marketable skills and courageous values that will strengthen this Nation.

HOW: A series of leadership trade schools that train students in a variety of highly marketable skills such as:

• Construction
• English as a Second Language
• Child Care
• Culinary Arts
• Marketable Artwork

While at the same time incorporate principles of leadership into the learning environment.:

• Honesty/Integrity
• Teamwork
• Interpersonal Communication
• Self-motivation
• Strong work ethic
• Creativity
• Conflict management
• Adaptibility
• Long term Thinking
• Concern for the Community

Thursday night they will come and share with us all at family night, for those of you who are not sure…family night is what we do at the market place every thursday… we eat, pray worship, and just have a good time.

keep praying LIFE AND LOVE over them as they serve the Haitian people and do their very best to give Hope to a nation in need. yet as i know out of personal experience, the Haitian people often seem to have more to teach us then we bring to give… so its a beautiful story…and although we are all awaiting Beaver & Kathy’s return, we are blessed to be involved in their efforts there!!

So we had a small shaking this morning while stil in PAP.  A mere 4.7 , i think, but enough to get this Mama up and yelling for everyone to get up and out!!

Thank God  no problems !  Unfortunately it doesn’t instill confidence in re entering the standing houses.Please pray for this.  It appears from many inspections that some of the house have superficial cracks and could indeed be lived in …. but folks are very learly of doing so…..understandably so!

Faith must take the place of fear… that’s for us all!

We spent the first day in PAP first thing taking a derive around the city surveying the extensive damage.  AND the AMAZING efforts being made in the way fo relief.

It is literally the best of times over the worst of situations.

We spent the rest of the day divided in to toeams. SOme working wiiht the kids at Sherre’s house..playing games and alos helping to organixe on the the storage areas.  papa Gene andPhoebe were an organizing machine!

Two other teams led by our medical folks went into the surrroundng tent cities to tend to wounds and apply love in the form of small medical concerns.

One lady complaining of a small  injurt to her knee was truly most iin need of  friendly faces and a gentle loving touch.  All i could think about was how i would want to be treated if the roles were reversed…and watched as Kelly did just that.

Beaver and JT stayed in PAP to work on the Consortium and meet with the UN Cluster on food distribution.  Please PRay for them !  Potential for many good consequences!

They plan to join us in Gonaives later this week.

this trip was planned about 5 months ago…so it seems as if its an emergency trip, but really it just falls in the mix of needed disaster relief. the trip has been a little bit revamped as the situation is a bit different than was expected…but God’s timing is beautiful and they will without a doubt be Jesus’ hands and feet to so many there.

the team includes: 2 doctors 3 nurses mothers and fathers…and everyone ready to LOVE!!!

cover them in prayer as they travel and serve. may their LOVE be evident above all things… that GOD’s LOVE for the Haitian people is abundant and furious… afraid of nothing… real… genuine… pure… lovely… unconditional… may everything that each team member does show this kind of LOVE. we can hand out beans and rice all day, but with dignity and the LOVE of Jesus, hearts connect and words are not enough to speak the meaning it brings to life.

What a testimony to be a part of the story…God’s redeeming story of Haiti…our humanity and redemption is built in with theirs…we are family, what a beautiful thing, they teach us as much as we teach them if not more! A nation is turning to God and freedom from bondage is on the move…people are grabbing it and realizing the VICTORY has already been WON!!

PRAISE THE LORD………….PRESIDENT PREVAL JUST OPENLY,   PUBLICLY ACCEPTED CHRIST INTO HIS HEART. IT WAS SAID(that)  HE SAID THAT HAITI MUST TURN BACK TO GOD, AND SOMETHING ABOUT THE YOUTH OF HAITI BEING THE FUTURE.     EVERYONE MUST REPENT AND CHANGE THEIR WAYS!!!!

I’m sure it will be on TV, it is already on radio here. I was not there, do not know what church, but he was at a church somewhere this morning.

MILLIONS OF PEOPLE ALL OVER HAITI BEGAN PRAYING BEFORE SUNUP THIS MORNING. I KNOW IT WAS THE MOST SIGNIFIGANT PART OF MY PRAYER, FOR THE GOVERNMENT AND PRUEVAL HIMSELF TO ACCEPT CHRIST. THANK YOU JESUS, THANK YOU JESUS A MILLION TIMES OVER.

NOW DON’T STOP PRAYING………….. BEGIN TO PRAY FOR HIS PROTECTION AND KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUE SAVIOR. GIVE HIM STRONG GODLY MEN TO UPHOLD HIS DECISIONS AND TO STAND STRONG AND TO BE BOLD FOR THE COUNTRY.

THIS IS A WONDERFUL BEGINNING, LETS SEE WHAT THE NEXT TWO DAYS MAY BRING……….Dottie

Join us as we FAST and PRAY with communities in Haiti.

Agree for:

Repentance : change of heart and traditions that are not in line with the heart of God, both in us and in Haiti.

Righteous Leadership: God has raised up leaders for this nation…some are already serving their country and some are”waiting in the wings” .  Let’s agree for their protection, wisdom, courage..and the timing of the Lord.

Courage for the whole nation : to trust God … fear manipulates people . Fear never brings life to individuals villages or countries.

Servant Leader Model to spring forth from the many missions and churches working in Haiti.

Revelation and Restoration: Surely God is speaking , New structures and strategies being revealed.  Open our ears, eyes and minds! Unity of Vision for the governing bodies!
