Katie Benner
My name is Katie Benner. I am 26 years old and am from Pennsylvania. While studying elementary education. I felt the Lord pulling me to use my knowledge in Haiti. Shortly after recieving my degree in 2010, I moved to Port-au-Prince where I taught kindergarten and helped at an infant rescue. During my time in Port, I met, Lala, Beaver, Kathy, and Emory. They invited me to teach at Academie La Saline. I am so thankful to be able to not only teach my students reading, writing, and math, but also about the Lord. I love that our school is a focal point in the community and that we are building relationships everyday with our students and their families.
